KITCHEN FITTING
FAQs
How long does a new kitchen installation take?
This greatly depends on the size. New kitchen installations generally take two weeks to finish- the initial week is for preparing the space and the second week is for completing the fitting. Solid worktops such as granite and quartz may require more time due to the depth of preparation and fitting required.

Should my flooring be laid before fitting my new kitchen ?
Wooden flooring is usually prepared during the initial week and then fitted once the kitchen is finished. Tiled and vinyl flooring is often completed before the kitchen as it is usually laid from wall to wall. We will always advise on the best approach for you. Do I have to notify building control of my new kitchen installation?
If there are new circuits installed in order to provide additional capacity for greater demand from new appliances, building control must be notified. As NICEIC accredited electricians, we can both complete the new installation and notify building control on your behalf to ensure a swift process.
Can I use my existing cooker & fridge?
Whilst your appliances remain in safe working order we wouldn’t advise you to rush and replace them. Our engineers will ensure your new kitchen is fitted together with them safe and sound.
